FanStory.com is a good place to practice your craft. Since I need a place where I can just sit down and write and see how my writing does against other writing this will be the place for me to test-drive a few pieces and get myself more organized in my writing world. I encourage you to check it out. Even though it does require a monthly fee in order to join the contests which pay I highly recommend it.
